Forward2Employment works alongside Fortis Trust to support young people, with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND), in Medway and Kent to find permanent and purposeful employment.
We passionately believe that all young people should be given the opportunity to work in their local community, to feel valued and have a place in society.
We provide Supported Internships for young adults. Supported Internships are a structured study programme based primarily at a place of employment.
Who Do We Support?
Our Supported Internships enable young people aged 19 - 24 with a statement of Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and a real desire to work, to achieve sustainable paid employment by equipping them with the skills they need for work, through learning in the workplace.
Supported Internships are unpaid, and last for a minimum of six months. Wherever possible, they support the young person to move into paid employment at the end of the programme.
