Everyone wants to have a fulfilling career, and young people are no exception to the rule. However, there is a struggle for young people to get into the career they dream of. This may be due to inexperience, or lack of qualifications that are looked for in candidates.
Therefore, how can you improve these skills, gain the experience and gain the needed qualifications?
You could sign up for an internship!
With an internship, particularly a Supported Internship, there is a range of opportunities for people to take advantage of, which can lead them to the career goals that they want to get too. Also, because internships are free for businesses, it is more likely that they will take an intern on, rather than an apprentice.
But wait, you won’t get paid! Is that fair? Actually, yes, it is, because if you are in a Supported Internship, with Forward2Employment, then you are still classed as in education, and therefore do not need to be paid, as you can still obtain financial help.
What happens at the end of the internship?
At the end of the internship, hopefully, you have become well established in the business that they will want to keep you on and we will endeavour to get you a job within your placement company. If that is not possible, then you will work with experts within Forward2Employment to improve your CV, practise interview techniques and eventually get a meaningful job.
Not only do we support you in your career, but we also support you in your social and emotional development. The world of work can open many new experiences and we will be with you every step of the way to offer the support you need.
